How to make it

Heat 1 tsp oil in a suitable pan, fry the sausages and sliced onions until browned.

Place into a slow cooker (if using) with all remaining ingredients and combine well.

Cook 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.

More water can be added as required. Can be thickened with a little cornflour.

A perfect complement when served with steamed vegetables, rice, salad, or even mashed potatoes. Great with slices of freshly buttered bread to soak up the delicious sauce.

Tips: Can also be cooked on stove top or in oven using cast iron pot or casserole dish.
