Sticky Hoisin Pork Bao Buns

How to make it

  1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the sliced pork and cook until browned and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger and sesame oil.
  3. Pour the Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce mix over the pork, bubble and reduce a little. 
  4. Combine the cabbage, carrot, peanuts and spring onions together in a bowl. Drizzle over the mayonnaise and toss to combine.
  5. Steam (or microwave) the bao buns according to packet instructions until they are soft and fluffy.
  6. Open each bao bun and fill it with slaw and a few slices of the sticky hoisin pork. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds.
