Mix marinade ingredients together. Add chicken and mix to coat. Marinade in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour or up to overnight.
Heat oil in a large non stick skillet or BBQ over medium high heat. Add chicken and cook until each side is dark golden brown (about 3-5 minutes each side). Transfer to baking dish and cook in preheated 180 degrees fan-forced oven for approx. 15 mins. Remove from the oven, cover loosely with foil and rest for 3 minutes.
If desired, garnish with chillies, spring onions, and sesame seeds. Serve with white rice or a side salad.
